I am a creative, calm and technically skilled director. I’m passionate about getting to the heart of a story and telling it in a warm, engaging and moving way. I can quickly get the best out of people whether that’s in a hospital or with talent.

I have honed my technical shooting skills over many years and I shoot on a variety of cameras (FX9, FX6, FS7, FX3, C300, A7s) and a variety of lenses including prime lenses. I am experienced shooting scenes where you have very little time to capture a scene - but I also love directing stylised sequences (using gimbals, sliders etc) and glossy well-thought out master interviews. I shoot thoughtfully and I have the technical ability to produce the best content while ensuring the shots are covered. In the edit I’m resourceful and I can quickly grasp story and squeeze the most out of the rushes.

I’ve directed and produced on a wide range of shows from sensitive, access driven documentaries like the award-winning Hospital (BBC2) Forensics: The Real CSI (BBC2) and Surgeons: at the Edge of Life (BBC2) to filming in extreme environments like The Island with Bear Grylls (C4 and Netflix) where I was embedded on a desert island for 5 weeks. My work has taken me around the world to Asia, the USA and South America.

In 2022 I directed my first single film for Channel 4 arts called ‘Where Have all the Lesbians Gone?’ which was well received. I’m really keen to keep working on projects that are challenging and which interest me on a personal level.

I have a particular interest in LGBT+ issues, arts, music and female-led narratives.
